COME SEE DUST LECTURE IN MARFA, TEXAS
Marfa, TX - Over the last 25 years, Marfa, Texas has made a name for itself in the art community through the vision of artist Donald Judd and the Chinati Foundation. But has Judd impacted the architecture and design of Marfa? That is part of the discussion to be held at the Marfa Architecture + Design Symposium and Home Tour planned for November 2-4, 2012.
The symposium runs Friday, Nov. 2, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 3, 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Crowley Theater in Marfa.
The beneficiary of the weekend is the Marfa Chamber of Commerce. It is a self-funded organization. In addition to supporting its membership, it provides the vital function of serving potential visitors and those visitors already in Marfa with information about the area.
Marfa was recently named as #8 of the Smithsonian’s Top 20 Small Towns in the USA.
